The Logic Of Surak: What Is The Premise of this document?

Let's just imagine, for a moment, that there actually is a race of beings known as Vulcans that live on a planet called Vulcan, who live their lives according to The Logic Of Surak, and who adopted this logic when they were on the brink of self-annhilation. If the Logic Of Surak could bring peace to the Vulcans, could it not also bring peace to Humanity? Could the contents of the Kir'Shara, the set of logic as laid out by Surak, be usable and beneficial to Humans?
What I have attempted to do here is to begin at square one with the idea, "if Surak were a real character, what would he have written?" Remember, in the series, Surak's role was that of the "Father Of Vulcan Logic" - and he wrote it almost two millenia before it was fully adopted. What would the "father" of Vulcan logic write as a set of rules, laws, procedures, processes, or "patterns of thought" that would survive the test of time and would produce peace among his people? I hope my approach to determining what The Logic Of Surak would be is agreeable to you and makes sense. I also hope it doesn't take that long to catch on! |
